Meet Dr. Adam Furman

DDS – ASSOCIATE

Dr. Furman received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Furman practiced general dentistry in San Antonio, Texas while his wife, Dr. Wendi Furman, completed her dental residency. Dr. Furman has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education since graduating from dental school, far exceeding requirements established by the licensing board. Dr. Furman’s commitment to lifelong learning and professional advancement is ongoing. Dr. Furman believes in treating his patients as if they are members of his family—and takes pride in providing the highest quality of dental care for each individual patient.

Dr. Furman grew up in El Paso, TX. He discovered his passion for, and set his sights on a career in dentistry at a young age while still in middle school. Dr. Furman attended Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth Texas, where he graduated with a B.S. in biology and minors in business, psychology, and chemistry. He was a member of the Pre-Dental Society and conducted research for Dr. Michael Chumley, focusing on Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Furman participated in numerous competitive-level intramural sports while at TCU and during dental school and he remains passionate in his support of TCU athletics. He is a proud alumnus of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Outside of work, Dr. Furman enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing with their dogs (Furby and Charlie), traveling, playing tennis, and being an avid fan and supporter of TCU Horned Frogs athletics.

I had a bad experience in the Middle East at the dentist. I am always nervous, shaking or crying and my blood pressure is normally high when I enter the doors of the dental office. Now that I have Dr. Cara as my dentist, the experience has been great! Today was my second time seeing Dr. Cara and she is funny, kind, nice, friendly, gentle, caring and the best dentist I have ever had. Dr. Cara and Wendy make a great team. Thank God I finally have a dentist that I can trust (still a little nervous, it will take time) but I’m okay with being in the care of Dr. Cara and Wendy.

Very happy to have found a great dental group in this area. They were able to work my husband in for a dental emergency very quickly. Dr Furman was very thorough with explanations & expectations. Honni the hygienist was very personable & made us feel comfortable with the processes. Megan at the front desk was terrific. Explained all of the financial processes very well. Hats off to a group that works well together & thoroughly. Definitely would recommend for dental care.

They know what they are doing. Dr. Scott and staff talk with you so you understand and are comfortable selecting from list choices of recommended options available, including benefits and risks associated with each. On my second trip, Dr. Scott (Ballard) quickly and efficiently performed work chosen, including repair of broken filling on the day I asked for an appointment. I’m also impressed with the level of imaging technology available – more than any previous dental office. Not only usual x-rays, but also in-mouth camera plus digital mapping of all the teeth.
